Potty Training Progress
At the beginning of February, we started to potty train Claire. She had been showing interest since her two cousins, 6 months and a year older than her, began the process and we figured we had at least 3 or 4 weeks to let her try before Clifton arrived. The first week was pretty frustrating, but I was encouraged to endure by Ann (who was also potty training her Claire) and decided to persist. We started potty breaks every 30 minutes and then every 60 minutes. She had it down pretty good by the time Clifton was born even keeping her bed dry, but as we were warned, she regressed after his birth. The first week after his birth seemed like endless accidents, but we stuck with it and she got it together by week 2! Now she's doing awesome and always telling us when she needs to go! No more accidents! The only change we made after Clifton's birth was putting her in diapers at bed time. I was sick of doing so much laundry, but she's been staying dry again so hopefully we can graduate again soon to "big girl" underwear at night time. So proud of our Claire and so proud of me! I'm glad I pushed through and stuck with it because there were definitely times I almost gave up!
